Team Play allows Washington to win the first Outright Pac 10 title in 56 years

6 Washington-foot-7, 255-pound power forward than has always been there-in the painting in the last three years, fighting higher, more athletic opponents. He brought his pail and hard hat with him every night without exception. Jon Brockman led the way in times of poor performance.
Now Brockman and his teammates just accomplished something no basketball team at the University of Washington has done in 56 years to win an absolute Pac 10 championship. I could not have done it alone, but is even more true that his Husky teammates could not have done it without her 3-year captain and leader.
Brockman was the role model and set the tone that said "we can do this if you only play as a team and not worry about individual glory and statistics". For at least one team a season among the 347 teams in the NCAA Division 1 bought into the "we are one" concept and went to work.
The result for the players was impressive, not only in professional growth but personal growth. Never more than in the case of senior guard Justin Dentmon, an All-Pac 10 selection freshman team that struggled for two seasons before coming this year as a blessing and a total of All-Pac 10 First Team selection. Dentmon also was named the Pac 10 Most Improved Player of the Year.
Junior forward Quincy Pondexter, who had been and down like a yo-yo the first two years, settled and began to show their talent and potential. The plane carried the Huskies at critical moments in some games.
True freshman Isaiah Thomas came the guard on campus with a great fanfare and delivered in large, like a scorer as the game-changing threat, and as a team player who shared some production staff time winningest. The fear lane 5-foot-8 Splitter not only made the All-Pac 10 freshman team, was also selected as Rookie of the Year 10 Pac.
Sophomore guard Venoy Overton, who was the holder last year and came off the bench this year, for Isaiah Thomas could start, became in one of 10 Pac defensive stoppers. Every time I moved Overton, was so fast it seemed that was shot from a cannon. He took the best of the best and stupid harassed.
Forwards Matthew Bryan-Amaning (better known as MBA), Darnell Gant Justin Holiday and all the special moments and keeps getting better and better as the team began to accumulate victories.
After playing themselves in at least a tie for the Pac 10 title, the Huskies put a exclamation point in a big stimulating, positive, moving season by beating their rivals of the Red State warms the Washington State Cougars-67-60 to make your home Court records of 18.1 this season.
But back to Brockman, a guy so hard under the basket you can go head-on into the taller, more players talent in painting and come out on top. Never, never underestimate Brockman in the paint. He is brave and can give and receive punishment, which has had his nose broken 5 times the rebound.
Brockman whole Husky all-time record for the rebound this year. Husky He is the first and only the fourth player in Pac-10 history to have over 1,700 career points and 1,200 rebounds. Brockman leads the nation with 58 career double-doubles (at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in one game).
Jay Bilas of ESPN.com Brockman has called the best rebounder in the nation. Brockman down 18 rebounds in the title-clinching game against the state of Washington.
Washington has built his campaign around a much better defensive game and a balanced offense that favors no one and benefits everyone. Actually Husky players diving for loose balls, but you probably hurt themselves to keep the ball alive and in their hands.
They have 4 players in double digits scoring. In the regular-season game, the Husky backcourt Dentmon and Thomas had averaged 15 points per game average Brockman 14 + points and 11 rebounds a game, and Pondexter added 11 per game. They have at least 8 players who can make a difference on the court.
Because of its great game and training of great Lorenzo Romar, Romar was selected as Pac-10 Coach of the Year. Romar has 3 great coaches assistant Cameron Dollar, Paul Fortier and Jim Shaw. Lance LaVette needs some accessories as well as Director of Basketball Operations for the Huskies.
Washington began the season 3-3 and then ended a run of 21.4 to the greatness of Husky. As a former champion and record setter know how sweet it is to reach the mountaintop, is an achievement you will remember the rest of his life, and you will appreciate more the older you get. One of my moments in the sun that occurred 47 years ago.
The Huskies begin Pac 10 Tournament Thursday (3-12-09). They will be strong contenders for the title and Pac 10 Tournament will definitely be 1 of the 64 teams that have a national title run, when March Madness begins March 19.

Game Day! What to eat?
I play volleyball and I am a starter have a big party next week. What should I eat to be healthy. Please give me some ideas! I also take my lunch to school and help!
chicken or red meat ... [I prefer chicken] whole weat bread [not blank] Juice -orange/apple rice or pasta [spaghetti gives you tons of carbohydrates - energy to burn] Do not eat anything that is full of sugar though. They break down very quickly and make the lack of energy. Also, avoid energy drinks, which are high in sugar. Water is the best way forward. Dont eats so much that it will be very full ... Eating a moderate amount of experience, because I find it easier to jump higher and move faster if my stomach isn't full of food.
