Looking for a good air combat simulator.?
Now I have the MS Combat Flight Sims 1-3, but I've played to death and am having trouble finding a good one that uses more modern aircraft and it works fine in XP.
Jane's Fighters WII is not bad. It is even older, and increasingly difficult to find. We fly seven different combatants of World War II Great Britain, USA and Germany. I guess it's a bit simpler than combatsim MS. Also, my favorite Jane's F-15 (f-15 is my favorite military aircraft) and Precision F/A-18 fighter by Xicat Interactive. It is very realistic, but a steep learning curve. You have to learn the manual of the page 100 before they can fly a mission properly. Of course, you can always go basis, but after studying the manual and / or the built in animation courses video, it becomes more enjoyable. You need to learn how to manipulate the radar, FLIR, different weapons and systems, performance: Gs, upload / altitude and speed loss / gain and the rate of fuel are accurate. Ah, too hard carrier landings. You can only fly the F-18 however. The graphics FSX are stylish, but good enough for a combat simulator. anti-AA is more difficult than some others because combatsims the f-18 is one of the best, and gets sticky when it's two against two sides vs. will work well to make sure XP, with post 2004 computer. PS: I've tried some others but have not bothered to return playing: F-22 Lightning 3 (Novalogic) F-16 Viper (Novalogic) National Guard 5 (Globalstar) are all focused on getting the bike as soon as possible. Simpler than F/A-18 PSF. Some attempt to detailed flight models, performance and weapon systems, but still under the learning curve. Perhaps as the best.
