How Axis and Allied air work?
I recently bought the Axis and Allies board games, and read the rule book through a couple of times but I'm still confused on how many air units of work. If you attack ground units can defend them against you? Do Tues units defend against them? Or can only attack aircraft guns? And enemy combatants and terrorists can defend against you? Because if only anti-gun Aircraft can kill air units then, then, that only 1 / 6 chance of being destroyed ...
Air, land and sea units can defend themselves attack air units in the same way they can defend against attack anything. The air attack units are placed on the board battle, like all other units and that can be taken as victims according to the discretion of the owner. The only exception to this rule are the submarines. They are the only units not can defend against air units. If the units are air-sea attack an area that contains subs, all successful hits performed by their alternates must be units taken by sea. If only air units attack submarines, then the submarine can not return fire. If an attacker makes an attack run against a factory, only anti-aircraft guns can defend against them. Since terrorists are not attacking military units, in this case can not defend against such attacks. This may be your confusion comes from.
