About how much it would cost to repair and burned dual USB port on top of monitor HP DV5000 lap
I have a HP DV5000 laptop that I bought a friend and recently the monitor has been burned so now I can only use my lap top when connected via a VGA cable to my HDTV ... which basically makes it a desktop ... also the single USB port on the right side is useless only enough power to work a mouse ... and dual USB ports the left side somehow has completely torn ... ie the bottom of the port is started but the top is deformed and does not work .... . so anyone know how much it cost to repair these issues .... thanks
It will probably be cheaper to buy a new laptop. USB ports on a computer notebook are generally built into the motherboard, so you have to replace it. On the screen, which is one of the most expensive parts of a laptop and its hard to find replacement screens for laptops too. Besides the hassle of finding the same or a compatible motherboard (which you can use the same RAM / processor / case) and the search for a compatible screen, are more or less talking about replacing the two most expensive things on your computer. Unfortunately, its time for a new laptop.
