Graphic Artists (Mac users), how do you deal with pain in the wrist?
I'm a graphic designer and I'm starting to feel pain on my wrist. I want to change my mouse, but do not know what to get. I am studying the Logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan. Is it a reliable solution my problem? Have you had this problem and what do you suggest? I can use a Mac G5 at work with the standard Mac mouse. And I just bought a wrist support. By Please note that not much pain, but I want to face before it is worse, turning into the carpal tunnel or other repetitive strain injuries. Any comment is much appreciated. Thanks!
I see that repeated this question several times. I repeat my answer if it is lost elsewhere. Hope --------------------------- you read this. It goes beyond the mouse or a bracelet or a special mat. What you need is a desk or a configuration with what they call a "return." - What is a fancy way of saying an L-shaped table that has a flat area structurally important thing you can rest the forearm and elbow while at work. People who have these jobs cheaper than having a keyboard and mouse in a sliding drawer unstable, so all the effort to write and use your hands takes performed directly on the lower arm, which is not compatible, complete with a weakening of the CTS. PLEASE get something that gives total structural support of your forearm and elbow to avoid serious wrist and arm and nerve problems in the future. Good luck.
