Saitek or CH Products yoke?? thanks !!!!?
Hey, I use Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I want to get rid of my control because its not very realistic experiance. I want a flight simulator yoke and rudder peddals ..... and maybe an accelerator if one doesn't have one. any suggetions? thanks! indeed, I've posted this question before and got no answers, so I have to put in aircratf ....
I bought the Saitek yoke with the unique combination of throttle and rudder pedals Saitek on Amazon for $ 213 on a couple of weeks ago. I did a lot of research that would be better and the Saitek had many advantages over the CH yoke. The Saitek uses a metal shaft connecting the handle to the actuator yoke while the CH yoke uses a plastic spindle. The Saitek axis slides much easier to give a smooth action while the CH made for a much more uneven. The Saitek also has a separate throttle and the CH you have to get up and over the yoke to reach the levers. Many people commented on the Saitek freezing up or making the aircraft during flight Sim do a lot of things, but not controlled Saitek traced to the driver disk that comes with the yoke. Long story short, do not install the disk. Just connect the yoke to the USB port with Vista or XP and that works well. I've had zero problems with my Saitek.
