I am planning to buy AMD Phenom X4 9650 on motherboard ASUS M3A78-EM ATI chipset and 4870. shud I go for 1GB or 512MB card? I have 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz RAM. and I will play.
I suggest a 1GB. The 1GB version does not cost much more. It only allows the use of 8xAA and 8th 16xAF while maximizing all values. The return of the configuration requires more memory, so do not be afraid to pay $ 15 more. This will also allow to play next-gen games. I notice even in 1280x1024 resolutions sometimes I push the barrier of 512 MB Memory on my card.
