There are many different types of Moniters in market for CRT, TFT, LCD, etc. I wonder is there any difference on the screen? What is the best for the eye to see without much effort?
A TFT monitor uses thin film transistor technology for the final screen or liquid crystal display. LCD monitors, also called flat panel displays, are replacing the old cathode ray tube type (CRT) as the display of election. Nearly all TFT LCD monitors use today's technology. The benefit of a TFT is different, a small transistor for each pixel of the screen. Because each transistor is so small, the number to control load is also small. This allows a very fast re-drawing of the screen as the image is re-painted or refreshed several times per second. Before TFT, passive matrix LCD displays could not keep up with fast moving images. A mouse dragged across the screen, for example, from point A to point B, disappear between the two points. A TFT monitor can track the mouse, resulting in a display that can be used for video, games and all forms of media. typical 17 inch TFT monitor has about 1.3 million pixels and 1.3 million transistors. That leaves a significant opportunity for a bad transistor or two on the panel. After delivery, a TFT can have "dead pixels" for this reason. A dead pixel is a pixel whose transistor has failed, creating the image not visible. On a black background, dead pixels that stand out as small red spots, white or blue. Most manufacturers will not replace a monitor TFT that has fewer than 11 dead pixels. Often, a TFT shall have no dead pixels - always the hope of any buyer, though dead pixels are not noticeable unless it is in a critical position on the screen. There are only a handful of TFT factories that are the panels of all brands of flat panel displays. Since there given a failure rate - considering how many transistors on each panel - only that many of the shows not to leave the dead pixels, while a certain percentage to bear an acceptable number of dead pixels and other groups are unusable. The panels that have some dead pixels are often sold for use in models discount. If you want a TFT monitor, which is a good idea to read information provided to purchasers online at sites of retail. Scanning for exams for various brands, it's easy to get an idea of what models have consistently good panels rarely have dead pixels. A TFT monitor provides crisp text, color vibrant and a response time for multimedia applications. If you are interested in gaming, video editing or other multimedia applications, look for a TFT with a response rate of 16ms or less.
