The short answer is - YES. --- The long answer is maybe. When a device requires AC input, this means that there is a poarity rectifier and voltage regulator. Entry AC goes to a rectifier, then a regulator. CC in recifier no big deal, the output of a bridge will be correct, no matter if you feed it negative or positive. Then comes the regulator. It has the DC voltage and regulates the recitifier .. SO ... DC to AC input still results in Washington, DC to the device. AC input DC rectifier and regulator loses. The big if here --- What is the design of the power input? Will you accept DC input, if it is inductive, not work. If it is a straight line from the a bridge connector, it will work fine. So his answer could not be, maybe, or yes.
