Del time "brand name" Philips and Magnavox (MFG same.) are in the bottom of the list - way consumer complaints over! But I'd rather have a Philips a Vizio, Insignia, Element, Polaroid, or one of the other economic levels, thirdly, garbage Sets that have entered the scene in the last couple of years. At least you have the opportunity to obtain pieces of a Magnavox / Philips when repairs are needed. For a 32-inch LCD, the two top dogs in the performance and reliability are Panasonic and Sony. It's almost a tie. Get the one with the best price / security combo. Or, if these two are too expensive, look at the Toshiba, or even the Sharp 720p. Good hunting!
