What do I need to connect my PC to a surround sound system?

DS1233 I have a surround sound solutions with a system built in digital decoder, I connect to my PC using 3.5mm SPDIF output on the back of my Creative SB Live 5.1 sound card, do I need? Tickets in the system are digital optical toslink and RCA coaxial connector, Ideally I want to connect to coaxial SPDIF, but Im not sure if I need a special cable? Ive tried to use regular RCA stereo cable with 3.5 mm adapter, but can only obtain II 2 channels at once, will reach 3.5 mono phono adapter work? Thanks

You should not have to purchace additional sound card for true surround sound experience only need the equipment suitable to connect to it.
