15 pin VGA versus DVI connection?
I ordered a movie projector front end of my life (home theater DLP projector 720p). In addition to the components, composite and s-video, which has an HDMI (DVI) and 15-pin VGA input. I have a home theater PC that has two DVI and VGA ports. I only have a VGA cable for now same. I know VGA is analog and DVI is digital and offers "no distortion", but I reallt see any significant difference if I upgrade to a DVI? The distance is about 10 'to my HTPC
Hi.There not a direct answer to your question.Digital does not always mean better image quality in the case of a video connection.There significant differences in the form of digital and analog signals are handled that are heavily dependent on the characteristics of source and display device rather than the type of video connection. The main problem is you never know what is happening in consumer equipment and how the various signals being processed wide, decoded, and so on. This applies regardless of whether it is pure analog, analog and digital, or of pure digital.There is also the problem of configuration equipment and system calibration. Incorrect configuration would not help in producing the best results, whereas different inputs in different settings lead to different system response to the same signal when applied across different inputs.
