Intro

XHD Gaming
Extreme HD or XHD, is a term coined by NVIDIA and Dell at the Consumer Electronics Show 2006 to highlight the games resolutions, over high definition. The term was coined as a term of marketing for NVIDIA Quad SLI setup and the Dell 3007WFP display.
According to nvidia this is achieved using one or two dual-link DVI ports. This increased bandwidth allows the cards to reach a maximum resolution of 2560x1600. The resolutions 1920x1200 and 1680x1050 are also classified as XHD resolutions, although it does not match the specification of XHD 4x1080i / 2x1080p contained in XHD site.
To experience XHD, you need three supporting components - an NVIDIA GPU, an XHD monitor and software that support XHD. XHD lets you spread your work over the entire desktop providing over 20% more desktop space a standard 4:3 ratio monitors. At XHD screen resolutions of 1680x1050 and 1920x1200, games have up to 65% more image detail than games viewed on common 1024x768 notebook screens.

Double line monitor to the CPU? helpp?
Ok I have this video card that supports 2 monitors to be used at the same time, but the thing is that I have HDMI input on my video card, video input only normal for a monitor. So can anyone tell me if if I can use this cable (please see the link I provided) to connect 2 monitors to a PC? if I can I will be able to do things like drag a program window from one monitor to another monitor? heres the link with cable: http://compeve.com/images/lfh59_dvi_compeve.jpg i do video editing so I'm trying to have two monitors connected so I can have more space
It would be better if we knew the make and model of your video card. say the video card supports two monitors at once - but only one video input? A video card has a video output, not input. And if your card supports two monitors at once and then must have two exits one, not only. For "normal video input" I'll assume you mean "out" - now - what kind of connector is? You said it is not HDMI. Is it DVI or VGA? I believe the cable that the photo is of a type that can be used by some - very few - Matrox cards, like the G200 MMS. This card makes the signals of two different ports One DVI connector, bigger. However, if you have this type of card and the cable would not be necessary as plut regular DVI cable to it without cable and ... cable and gives it another DVI port as well. So if you had had the cable already has two ports. They do the same with a cable that breaks out to two VGA ports. But once again that only works with their cards.
