Connecting to a LCD flat panels 76c Epson projector?
We have an Epson 76c projector and want to add a flat screen LCD TV to it. We purchased VGA a splitter / amplifier and connected the projector to the input splitter and then fed 15-pin VGA for stv 'Do not take a picture. The (no signal) word going on TV after connecting at all, so therefore we believe that we are receiving a "signal" to the TV, but does not display an image. You can connect a cable of S'Video DVD player and the picture plays very well. We've tried changing the TV source to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Not Sure why want to do this, but given the Epson has a monitor output do not think you need the splitter. The Epson manual (PG 22, see link) that has to have the computer connected and on, but it may still be able to view an image on an LCD monitor. They say you need to use a MultiSync monitor and make sure the computer is configured for a refresh rate of 65 Hz or more. This implies the expectation is that you are using an LCD monitor, a flat panel TV is not. That said, some flat screen can act as computer monitors when using the right input and settings. I suggest, checking the refresh rate of the computer, checking that the output connected right into the TV and make sure the menu settings are correct for the TV to be used as computer monitor. The quickest way to check the latter is to connect your computer directly to the TV. If you get a picture then try to put the projector in the chain, but if not, or can not use television that way or not yet have the correct settings. I hope that helps.
