Imagine monitor problem please help
Imagine I have a 19 "wide LCD monitor yesterday that goes black after two seconds on. Yesterday I got frustrated and just leave it alone for a few hours (I think maybe 7 or 8 hours) and when I returned was working well again. But today was my cousin playing a game on my computer and it was just black again. I can activate it, then displays what is on the screen for two seconds, then just go black, even when the blue light still on. It's pretty frustrating because I've only had this monitor since Christmas 2007. He has not even spent more than half a year I've had. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem and how to fix?
First, inspect the wires. You will need to turn off the computer and the monitor. Then disconnect the cable from the monitor to the computer at both ends. Remains at the top and the slot that connects to both ends and reconnect, making both sides sitting close together. Do the same with the power cord that goes from the monitor to the outlet. NOTE: Some monitors do not unplug cheap monitor. When all The ends are seated well back, turn on the computer and monitor to see if the problem is resolved. If you still have a black screen, you can have a bad cable. If The monitor has a little light on it, means that every time is electric, so you can have a new cable from the computer to monitor. If electrical, replace the cable going from the monitor to the outlet. ALWAYS turn off the computer and monitor when you are connecting a cable! At first Borrow only the strings of a friend or family member. You know immediately when you find what works:) If any cable makes a difference, borrow a monitor from a friend or family member and see if that works. If it does, then the monitor is shot. If the new cables do not work and a different monitor does not work, you may need to call a technician. Good luck! HTH!
