When I connect my cable box between my home theater and HDTV, I get no picture. What can I do to use an entry?
I have a Comcast HDTV box, feeding on my Sony Bravia home theater system via coaxial cable, then to my HDTV through component cables. But do not get a picture like this. I know I can connect the cable and home theater system through independent component inputs, but there is a way to use both without switching inputs? Thank you!
Even if you could make this system work, do not want it. Coaxial cable output of the cable box will not be high definition, will be a standard SDTV signal. To connect the cable to your TV via a compatible connection with HD (either Component or HDMI). If your TV has multiple component connections, connect the cable and DVD separately. If the TV has a component and an HDMI connection, use HDMI cable (most cable boxes HDMI high definition have a connection) and connection of components of your DVD. You do not need a change, but will to use "Select Source TV" to switch between TV and DVR. Finally, if your TV has only one component input, go out and buy a switch Component video (about $ 30 at Radio Shack).
