How can I get Hi8 videos to my mac?
I have a Proview RCA Hi8 analog camera with only a v / RCA input / output. I have to hand Sony camera and FireWire DV output AV input / output. I have to use my sony as a gateway to my computer. The problem is that you can not connect the RCA (red, yellow, white) cables from the Proview on my sony. I need a cable or adapter that split to USB or something. Any suggestions?
There are RCA female adapters on both sides ... This will take account of extreme female RCA AV cable in the ProView and male end Sony DV camcorder with AV-passthrough. Radio Shack (and Fry and many elsewhere) are available - they are cheap. Then connect the Sony DV camcorder / FireWire / i.LINK port to the computer's FireWire port. Any attempt to treat using USB unlikely to work.
