how to use the dial-up modem as audio output?
Hi just bought a Plantronics headset that has only CAT3 dual telephone socket. I thought waiting for someone to have a program that can connect the computer modem to the headphones and wireless home music, I'm not sure if the quality is good but worth a try because 2.4 is very good with long distance, in the same note. Can I integrate the handset via dial-up modem and use it on skype? So in a nutshell. 1.A former playing music in Winamp and listen to the modem line. 2. Is it possible to connect a phone headset such as Plantronics for the computer and lets you talk on Skype.
Doing this through the modem requires you to have a voice modem cable that is voice mail hosting. This is more work than you need. What you really want to do is catch a cornerstone making Cat3 you can connect the headset on. Then find a stereo connector 3.5 mm that can cut open. You must play a bit to see which drivers and which are negative for the left and right. Once you find out which 2 takes the L and R speakers, tie them together. No stereo headset in the Plantronics.
