Microsoft LifeChat LX-2000 headset?
Trying to help a friend here .. She bought a Microsoft LifeChat LX-2000 headset for use with Windows Live Messenger, the thing is that she can hear the person talking to her but she can not use the microphone .. cannot hear the other person. I tried using the headset on my computer and both work (audio and microphone) so now we know the problem is not the headset itself .. must be your computer. I have checked the audio settings on the computer and nothing is muted, anyone else who can make suggestions? Thank you!
Try using Windows Update when the handset connected (for updated drivers). To see if other microphone works on the same port. See if the headset works on another port on the same computer. Besides, only checks whether the receiver needs more system requirements that your computer has.
