The music business and money
First let me say to the readers or students streetcollege. The music business is a mutli of million. The fact of the matter is that when most people think the entertainment industry, they (the consumer-fans) take each (Musicians and artists) are making tons of money. The artist is at Tell-Lies-visual (television) in music videos may have more money than at the time. This Money is more likely to advance money from the record company.
This advance is a loan from the record company used to pay for studio time and other services necessary to obtain registration (music) at points of sale and break his record. If the artist is smart to invest in recording equipment and a tool that will help them in promotion.
With fame to do with major recording artist, perhaps. However, we must work for the money. Has to deal with all sorts of industry people, and not everybody in this business are what you expect them to be. With that said, is always pleasant, humble, and learn to break the ego. Some people in this business do not treat you like you want them, then you have those who perform well, and there may be other reasons.
The musicians need to realize that we live in a new era, and in this new era, we now have the ability to broadcast content on a global scale. The disc phonographic (physical record) is becoming a thing of the past. Increased sales pitch is a fast-paced, CD sales are declining. And the music monetization is no longer a myth.
Advertising companies are coming up with ways to include advertising in short form music downloading and streaming. This gives the artist the possibility to make revenue out of music just by letting the advertising out to short audio ads download.
That is just a revenue stream. Artists, musicians, please listen to this carefully ... You can make money doing a lot of things you must remember that it is a lot of work to break a success. This work includes, performing in venues of a region or national level, advertising, promotions in stores, promotions, etc. This requires some time and money. To break a record takes time and effort. Even if your trying to draw attention to a major label, which requires work. These artist's important to win that money. They work every day, traveling at all times for them not having itself and more.
Musicians in many ways to generate revenue can come from television commercial jingles, songwriting, get your music in a movie soundtrack or game video, etc. with production companies film and video of many games that come out there should be no excuse. So start your mission now.
