Can a game / stereo headphones connected to a traditional mixer?
Ok here's the deal ... I'm wanting to use 2 stereo headphones Dynex local sports broadcasting live events. Are they going to work if connected to a traditional mixer Behringer or Yamaha? If so, where it connects a? They have 1 / 4 ". Thanks!
If the handset is one like this: Then you have two connectors http://www.dynexproducts.com/products/computers/DX-208.html 1/8th inch at the end. One will be to connect the headset microphone to the mixer (sometimes colored with pink plastic) and the other will be for connecting the mixer to the speakers in the headphones (usually have green or blue plastic). They must be clearly labeled on the cable. Usually with headphones you need two 1/4th inch adapter like this: you connect http://www.cablesforless.com/p-116-adapter-14-inch-m-to-18-inch-female-stereo.aspx the "small" plug the headphones in the "large" input or output in the mixer. To connect the microphone to the mixer, the adapter (if necessary) at the end in the plug and microphone. Plug it into a "Line in" on the mixer. Use any channel is open. Back to listen on headphones to be connected the headphone jacks (again, using the adapter if necessary) in a "Mix" or an "auxiliary exit" of the mixer and used to send signals of what you hear in your headphones.
