How can I use my headset microphone combo?
I recently bought a headset microphone combo for the PC that looks a bit like this: http://www.boutiquemusicinc.com/e-store/images/Audio_Technica/ATHCOM2.gif unless you know the ropes and red / pink of a final, if the microphone and the black / Blue / green end is for the handset. I know how to connect the headset park but do not know how to connect the microphone. I've tried everything - even research online, but all I got was just "sales in microphone and headphones. Please please please help me! I want to be laid to microphone I can talk to people online in WoW (World of Warcraft) in Ventrillo. Counseling and this is greatly appreciated!
Actually, it could depend on your computer. I have a headset very similar and has the same two strings that you described, one for headphones and one for the microphone. On my computer however I have two ports, one with a headphone icon and a little icon of a microphone, so it was pretty self explanitory to my headset. Look in the front, sides and rear of your computer if have a laptop, but if you have a monitor and a tower, the microphone port is usually in the back of the tower with the other wires. If you simply not have a microphone port at all, may have some sort of cable that can be changed with a USB port to a microphone port.
