Illinois courthouse finds security with AVG Anti-Virus
Like many small-government organizations, the County Courthouse Mercer by Aleda, Illinois has limited resources and staff. Therefore, it is no surprise that one of the members of itsa € ™ personal, Jeff Benson, frequently is implementing the network of organizations in addition to its other functions.
â € œMy knowledge about technology is not extensive, but I know more than my coworkers so I'ma ™ € I have been in charge of our IT purchases and decision making for 12 years. I am that our becomes personal when they encounter problems with software or workstations, â € said Benson.
Benson reflected back to 2001 when the court was first implemented connectivity to the Internet. He quickly realized the critical need for a security solution to keep out hackers, viruses and other threats without sacrificing performance or breaking the bank.
â € œFor a while we ran Trend Micro and were pleased at first with its performance, â € Benson said. â € œWhen we went wireless this year, it was necessary to upgrade to the new version of that product. Benson said that the final straw came in early summer 2008, when a threat seeped through and virus threats in your infrastructure.
â € œà virus took over some of our computers, â € said Benson. â € OETB matters worse, the only way to find a way to get rid of it was the purchase software that ran $ 120 a pop! I realized then that if a virus ever threatened again, we would have to spend more taxpayer dollars to clean up the mess. So this incident, along with all other issues, forced us to seek a € replacement.â
AVG: Compatible, Sure, sure
Benson reached its most valued source for advice, service organizations (ISP).
