Using Cisco VPN client and wireless card new laptop, you can connect to VPN, but can not see any resources.?
It is actually my boss that is having this problem and I am trying to help. Had before and I was able to help. He is using a wireless card in your laptop to connect to our corporate VPN through your wireless router. Cisco Client version 4.6. You can connect to the VPN. The login correctly with no messages error, but can not scan all network resources. I've had to make several attempts PING network servers and none of the pings work (I was using IP addresses, not names domain, to rule out DNS issues). Any idears? Supposedly, they have not changed the network configuration after you install your new wireless NIC.
could be the firewall is blocking VPN access routers. wireless security settings are different from cable to log into the router and see if theres a way to either make an exception for VPN or disable the firewall, anyway in a secure, so it should not be a problem. Also ensure that the laptop is not blocking VPN also through the radio connection firewall settings. You may have to manually open ports for the access and that really sounds like it may be to go beyond the scope of what you know if turning on exceptions and allows VPN does not resolve the problem that will need to obtain a hold of the kind of corporate IT for any additional change settings.
