Communication by Palm One Treo 700w Communicator
Palm One has introduced latest design cell phone Palm One Treo 700w. It is a blabbermouth. Alarms, ringtones and general audio out through the large rear firing speaker to get their attention. The speaker is located on the back so it is no coincidence deaf when an alarm goes off while holding the phone to head in the conversation. The speaker is very loud and clear too. The phone supports MIDI, MP3, WMA and WAV ringtones (just drag the new Rings folder inside the Windows folder on the Treo). Like all Windows Mobile phones, the Treo can play MP3s using the included Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, Play even with DRM for content protection course.
Windows Media Player also handles WMA, ASF and WMV for playback of movies. If you want to see AVI, DIVX and MPEG several other formats or OGG music, download The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP), an excellent free open source player that works well in Treo. We use TCPMP to run our benchmark test video playback, and threw our usual test file at it: "The Chosen" (A neat BMW movie with Clive Owen), which is a minute 4:26 long, 10 meg MPEG1 file recorded at 320 x 240, 308 kb / s. The results are not surprising for an encrypted file with a fairly low bitrate, but it handles very well with videos at 550 kbps. The 700w runs on a 312 MHz processor Intel XScale processor with ~ 25 megs of RAM available to run programs and 128 megs of flash ROM where the OS lives and where you can install programs and data.
There are 62 megs of free storage memory on the Treo 700w, which is a generous portion of space. Since it is a Windows Mobile 5.0 device has persistent storage which means your data will survive a complete battery discharge. The Palm Treo 700w uses a stack that Microsoft is not low cost or no Bluetooth Wizards Easy to use another way to walk through the connection process. Though spartan, it is the work done and can be used to match any compatible device (Since there is no wizard listing devices can connect to, guessing compatible devices and Bluetooth profiles is par for the course). The camera can take pictures up to 1280 x 1024 resolution and supports lower resolutions such as QVGA and 160 140 x. Application 7 offers brightness settings (normal and up to + or - 3 EV) along with 2x digital zoom. You can save images to internal memory or SD card in one of three quality settings set the image prefix as you wish. The Treo 700w can record video with sound (you can turn off audio if desired) and set a can in 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or no limit duration. The phone saves videos in .3 g2 format 176 x 144 or 352 x 288 resolution and also offers 7 brightness levels of the recording. As images fixed video has no color, and is of average quality compared to other camera phones U.S. with less shock than most. The audio is recorded at 8 kHz and our samples reported video at 26 fps.
