Replacing laptop keyboard with a generic one ....?
I did my flatmates laptop keyboard. its a HP Presario 5700 (I think) and I can not find a replacement keyboard. Do not tell me to buy a new computer ... would have to sell my child to pay. Are there universal keyboard I can use instead, if so, how? I meant HP Pavilion Ze 5700. Do I have need for a separate keyboard or I can find a universal / generic to be a in the slot of the laptop?
Unfortunately the laptop keyboards are very unique, not only for the specific computer model portable, but also for the manufacturer and is not sold separately. Get an external keyboard is an option but that essentially kills the portability of the computer laptop that is probably why I have a laptop to begin with. The good thing is that it can be easily replaced. If the computer is under warranty, please Contact the manufacturer and have them replace the keyboard. Even if not in warranty can ask how much it would cost to replace it. Remember that you will to pay for shipping to and from if not in warranty.
