key pad is not working?
It's been a month since I am experiencing a strange problem. Each time you type something in Notepad, IE, or any another program, if the CPU is busy doing something else and then I wrote at the time keys are lost. Normally, the Windows key buffer that maintain show in his memory and once the CPU is less busy, so you should only experience a delay at worst. Now just a few letters missing the type I, which is extremely annoying. Maybe it has something to do with IE7 or Office 2007, it started happening around that time. It could be anything though. How do I fix this? I have a Keytronic ps2 keyboard, 2-year-old desktop computer and Windows XP SP2 with all updates.
The only thing I could say is try again to reinstall Windows. (No, no, erasing the hard drive, but instead of performing a repair installation.) But before doing so, try uninstalling all the software unnessesary recently installed, or try reinstalling the drivers for the keyboard. You never know, you might be able to solve the problem without much problem, there is only to rule out all possibilities that may be also possible. Good luck!
