Argos notebook refund? 3 weeks?

If it is defective and / or unfit for purpose then you are entitled to a refund. No receipt could offer an exchange. I think the issues you mentioned must qualify on these grounds, but not be a huge mistake that might need to fight the corner if you get a jobsworth of a manager who has a bad day.
