What happens when the plastic is removed from AA rechargeable NiMH batteries?
Since rechargeable AA batteries are larger than non-rechargeable, I had to remove plastic cover on the battery so it could fit on the wireless keyboard. I only had to remove one of the two used batteries. Now I have four of these batteries without the cap on it. But here's the part I really want to understand ... I used a deck (normal) AA rechargeable battery NiMH and a rechargeable NiMH coverless to power a bluetooth wireless mouse. Now the Belkin bluetooth mouse only turns on and work with the same combination of batteries. One without lids must be in the left slot. The cover is on the right. What made with an encore without covers do to make the mouse not already been compatible with two decks of NiMH? Never tried to use both without lids. Would it be safe to do so? Is it safe to use a battery without caps?
It is not is safe to remove the plastic cover of the batteries. The case is all the negative connection. This includes the sides of the battery. The positive connection is the small button at the top and of course the case is isolated. If you have a stack of batteries in a flashlight and multi-cell cases can naked short against the box. You could have caused some damage in mice. One AA battery is a specific size, or is supposed to be. If you bought a very cheap brand, its control coulter lack quality.
